Commercial (Sales) Manager  - Germany

reporting to the Commercial Director, based in London.

Scope of the role:

Responsible for delivering commercial sales strategies according to company goals and objectives while supporting and driving the acceleration of growth, and to then deliver detailed business plans.

Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive and proven experience in Commercial/Sales roles you will Ideally have direct experience of selling services into the Hotel industry and sector in Germany. 
  • it would be considered highly desirable if you have experience of selling to a wide variety of stakeholders within the Hotel industry, including Procurement and Hotel Management at all levels and across different sites within hotel chains.
  • Problem-solving and strategic thinking: with the ability to identify commercial opportunities and issues in complex situations and translate through to a clear commercial choice that resolves trade-offs between competing business and financial priorities.
  • You should have a structured and professional commercial approach to sales: demonstrating and delivering best practice approaches to selling, negotiating, account planning, whilst at all times setting the bar for the wider commercial team.
  • Skilled in communication & influencing: you should have structured communication skills with a clear aptitude to listen and respond to business needs and adapt to and engage different audiences.
  • You are likely to be used to being an experienced and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and teams around the business and also with senior external stakeholders.
  • Change Management: you will be able to demonstrate a growth mindset that embraces change and deploys best-practice approaches to win hearts and minds and that embeds change into the organisation.
  • Community-Building: a team player who readily collaborates cross-functionally and will sponsor or lead company initiatives that drive an engaged, diverse, high-performing organisation.
  • A high standard of English proficiency is required, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experienced in Office 365.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell the complete company service portfolio into all hotel categories in Germany.

  • Identify, prioritise, and explore new market (sales) opportunities across Germany and partnerships to drive business growth.

  • Deliver and follow a comprehensive commercial sales strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and goals to ensure achievement of KPIs.

  • Promote effective Forecasting, preparing, and working to budgets, meet/exceed financial targets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and suppliers to enhance market position and revenue generation.

  • Utilise market research to make informed decisions and adapt strategies as needed. Generate creative input for marketing campaigns.

  • Strive and drive for high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Represent the company at conferences, meetings, industry trade events as required.
