This environmental business are specialist international environmental contractors that focus on complex and multidisciplinary soil and groundwater remediation projects.
Our client is also an international environmental contractor with more than twenty years experience in soil and groundwater remediation, sediment treatment, hydraulic engineering, recycling techniques, landfill techniques, environmental dredging and the redevelopment of brownfields.
Standley Associates was contacted by the company the back of a number of successful assignments within the remediation sector with competitor companies in Germany, Spain, Italy and the UK.
Standley Associates were invited to the company HQ in Antwerp, Belgium. An assignment followed very quickly as the UK Managing Director had just taken over responsibility for other markets and was looking for someone to assist him with Business Development in the UK. This at a time when the market was suffering a slump.
The assignment went very smoothly as SA already had a number of contacts within the remediation marketplace in the UK.
SA was able to present a shortlist of four candidates by the end of November 2008. The successful candidate, working for a large environmental engineering consultancy, had just lost his job through cutbacks and was able to start very quickly.
