Our client is an subsidiary of a major group manufacturing a broad portfolio of mechanical components in to the automotives OEM’s. Based in the UK, and with an international plant network. Standley Associates were asked to recruit a specialist Business Development Manager with automotive first tier experience preferably from within a closely related / competitive environment.

After several onsite meetings Standley Associates developed a close working relationship and thorough understanding of the company business, its culture, vision and future plans in order to create a thorough job description, candidate brief and specification. This incorporated a full competency profile and the agreed psychometrics to be used at the 2ndinterview stage.

A research and search strategy was agreed, and implemented targeting high performing sales professionals with automotive first tier experience. After an intensive search, and a three stage interview programme the successful candidate was appointed.
